The Old Colorado City Historical Society was founded to recognize the historical significance and unique culture of the original Colorado City and early El Paso County. This spirit is perpetuated by the preservation of artifacts and archival materials, encouragement of historical research, childhood education, and community engagement
The History Center not only provides a place to view artifacts and photographs on display, but also contains a historical reference library, book store, and space to host events. Visitors here can participate in museum tours, attend monthly programs, conduct research on local history, enjoy summer Saturday Craft Fairs, and meet other history buffs.
