*RESEARCH TIP* Until 1905, city directories were separated into Colorado Springs, Manitou, and Colorado City sections. The Colorado City section can be found towards the end of the directory. 1896 and 1898 directories do not include many Colorado city businesses and residents. 


OCCHS has a collection of City Directories from 1886 to 1975 as well as some other special directories. Come in to view them in our research library.

    • Some of the oldest documents in the state, record Colorado City and early El Paso County's land transactions.
